WHO IS T-PAIN

T-Pain is an internationally known and hugely successful Twitch streamer, also he raps and sings.

Faheem Rasheed Najm was born on 30th September 1985 in Tallahassee, which is where his name originates from, with the T standing for Tallahassee and “Pain” attributed to the hardships he had experienced.

T-Pain gained industry interest in 2004 when Nappy Headz, the group he was a part of, released a cover of Akon’s song “Locked up” by the title “I’m F***ed Up”. This had led him to receive several record contracts including from Akon himself, whom he chose to sign with.

A year later, he released the album, “ Rappa Ternt Sanga”, which peaked at #33 on the Billboard 200 with the singles, “I’m Sprung” and “I’m ‘n Luv (Wit a Stripper)”, peaking at #8 and number #5 respectively. In 2007 T-Pain released his most successful project, “Epiphany” debuting at number one with the lead single, “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’)” also reaching number one.

That very same year T-Pain would collaborate with Flo Rida on their Grammy nominated single, “Get Low” which topped charts worldwide. In total, T-Pain has received 9 Grammy Nominations, winning two for singles “Good Life” and “Blame It”.

T-Pain’s music is unmistakable due him populising the use of autotune to the point that in 2008 he demanded that everyone else who uses it should accredit him.
