Why doesn't 21 Savage Wear any Jewelry anymore

When you think of rappers or hip-pop, the first thing that pops into your mind is a big gold chain, shiny gold teeth, and heavily jeweled people that wear oversized hoodies and maintain a level of bling.

I never quite understood what the fascination of rappers was with jewelry, since it was not very favorable to wear in any kind of concerts and heavy jewelry in general, that they style, is very uncomfortable, even to a man who is accustomed.

That being said, not every rapper chooses to wear them, and these days many young hip-pop sensations are leaving behind the age-old fashion and embracing new styles.

Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, professionally known as 21 Savage, was born on October 22, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. He was born in London and moved to Atlanta with his mother when he was seven years old.

He gained international acclaim with the release of the collaborative EP Savage Mode (2016) with Metro Boomin; its singles "X" (featuring Future) and "No Heart" peaked at the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, and 21 Savage's profile was later raised with a guest appearance on Drake's 2016 single "Sneakin'." In January 2017, he signed a recording contract with Epic Records.

Recently, 21 has declared that he won't be spending money on jewelry anymore, since he wants to be a role model for young rappers, and he also wants to showcase financial prudence.

This came as a shock to the jewelers, since 21's last custom order, the replica of his head, was stuffed with 100 natural white diamonds, and cost a whopping hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars.

With that being said, 21 is currently looking to invest in young startups and cryptocurrencies, and other profitable accounts, which may indicate that he is looking towards a long-term financial goal.

What do you think about this decision?
