Young Thug’s album Punk and his all-new Slime City
Young Thug is one of the most prominent artists in the hip-hop industry right now. He constantly gets featured on big songs; he was even on the latest Drake and Kanye West Albums. That just goes to show how influential and artistically great Thug’s career has been up to this point.
His project before the last one, So Much Fun, wasn’t the best of his works, but it still managed to bring something new to the table. Something new in terms of sound that no one was doing before him. And that’s the way Thug rolls, he tries to reinvent himself in every new project, pushing the boundaries of trap music.
He dropped a joint collaboration with his compatriots at YSL records called Slime language 2 in 2021. The album featured a lot of new and old artists that are in some way influenced by Thugger’s voice and cadence. Two of the biggest ones being Gunna and Lil Baby.
Thug was active the whole of 2021, he’s done a lot of features, and most of them were hit songs. So he’s here to stay definitely, and with his last project , he just cement himself as one of the best of this generation.
Punk!
Young Thug did a small concert in which he played a couple of songs. And some of them were new at that time, and the song Tick Tock caught people’s attention fairly quickly. The melody and the drums on the track were just great, and it sounded like a banger.
Young Thug was seen wearing a weird jacket that had some kind of graphic at the back and a date. This was hinting towards his upcoming project at that time which will be called Punk. The release date for the album was 10.15.21. Later on, on his birthday, Young Thug officially confirmed his album.

Titled Punk! And it is for a good reason. The punk sound is synonymous with guitar riffs and crazy drums, and Young Thug brought the punk flavor and blended it perfectly with his flows in his new Tick Tock.
This song is setting the tone for the album, according to Young Thug, and if it’s true, we’re in for a rocking treat. As if there’s anyone who could blend Punk and Hip Hop and make it sound greatest, it is Young Thug.
Slime city
No, slime city isn’t another album that Thug is exciting us about. It is an actual city. Young Thug bought a lot of lands and is now going to build a city on top of it filled with everything slime. Thug made the headline on his birthday when he announced his new venture to the public via instagram.
Slime City will be spread across 100 acres of land in Atlanta! Young Thug has dropped a lot of money on this project of his. But he’s taking this as a serious investment. Slime city will be a great place to come on vacations if Thugs plans come to fruition perfectly.
According to him, the city will be hosting his annual music festival, Slime Fest. It will also have housing, waterparks, ATVs riding areas, and many other leisure activities.
The only thing holding him back right now is the city’s approval for the project once he gets a green light. Thug will start hiring people to build his dream city for him. The town’s location isn’t revealed yet, but it is considered to be in rural Atlanta somewhere.
